INDIANAPOLIS – Harrison Rhodes scored a representative finish in his debut race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Saturday, posting a 25th in the Lilly Diabetes 250 Xfinity Series race.
Rhodes qualified 29th and ran in the 20s most of the race, protecting his car through a long, very hot afternoon.
“I am so excited to be able to say I've raced at Indianapolis now. We fought a tight handling race car all day, but we started to make small gains on it towards the end of the race. I would like to say thank you to my JD Motorsports team for giving me this opportunity!”
Rhodes stayed 23rd in Xfinity driver points.
The series races next at Iowa Speedway Aug. 1.
