Harrison finished 26th in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 16th. Rhodes was given the opportunity to drive the #25 Industrial Piping Solutions/Masters Properties Chevrolet for Rick Ware Racing, the team where Rhodes got his start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2013.
After qualifying 36th in group qualifying, the #25 team was set to start 18th in the first heat race. Early in the heat race, Rhodes began to pass cars and make his way through the field. "It was going great until I had to drive the last 30 laps one handed," said Rhodes. "My headphone jack kept falling out of the plug on my helment so I had to hold it in with my right hand and drive with my left. Now I can say I've driven a race one handed at Bristol." Harrison finished 15th in the heat race which earned him the 30th place starting spot for the main.
Once the green flag droppped for the main, Rhodes began moving forward and was really enjoying the handle on his race car. The team missed a wave around at the first caution which put them behind a lap from others, but after the 200 laps were finished the team ended in the 26th place spot. "I'm so proud of the RWR team for giving me a great race car for this race. I want to thank everyone at Rick Ware Racing, Industrial Piping Solutions, and Masters Properties for ther support this weekend," said Rhodes.
