Rhodes qualified the the #0 Vecoplan "Industrial Shredders" Chevrolet in the 27th position after a broken water line prevented the team from making another qualifying attempt.
Harrison started the race strong and made moves passing cars early in the race. As the race progressed, Rhodes began searching for grip in the higher lanes of the track and was able to make up some ground on the field. Rhodes had a strong run going racing in the 20th position and looking to score his first top 20 of the season. While exiting turn two, Harrison's race car began bogging down and eventually shut off causing the team to go behind the wall and search for the problem. Harrison was unable to finish the race due to a car failure, ending his day in the 35th position.
"We had a strong run going and I hated we didn't get to finish the race and earn our first top 20. I want to thank Vecoplan for their tremendous support and making this weekend possible. I had a great time on and off the track and look forward to the future. Hopefully we can have a good finish next weekend and redeem ourselves."
