Fort Worth, Texas – Rookie Harrison Rhodes scored a 27th place finish Friday night in his first race at Texas Motor Speedway in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300.
Harrison had his best qualifying effort to date of 26th. Rhodes started the race with his car loose on entry and eventually picking up a tight push in the center of the corner. The #0 team worked hard to adjust and get the car handling correctly and they made gains throughout the race. When the checkered flag flew, Harrison ended the race in the 27th place position.
“It wasn’t quite the finish we were looking for, but it was good to finish the race and learn all we could,” said Rhodes, running the full Xfinity Series for the first time. “We’ve got great notes from a long night at the track, and we’ll continue on from here.”
We would like to send a big thank you to JD Motorsports with Gary Keller for their continued support and hard work. The NASCAR Xfinity Series moves on to Bristol, TN this weekend for the 300 lapper race.
